For the past 45 years The Kern River Parkway Foundation has operated as a non-profit organization which has continued its goal to preserve, restore, and improve the Kern River corridor from the mouth of the canyon to Buena Vista Lake.

Your generous contributions will 

• Coordinate efforts with local organizations to improve bicycle, pedestrian, and equestrian safety on designated parkway trails
• Initiate design and construction of the Kern River Educational Interpretive Center
• Extend parkway and bike path to Buena Vista Lake
• Support volunteer efforts to improve the parkway (trash cleanups, invasive plant species removal)
• Facilitate fun and community enriching events along the parkway
• Mobilize support for getting water back in the river via Bring Back the Kern
